If you haven’t read the NYT article about some heroic moms and how they still focus first on their little ones when they find themselves in extreme situations it is a good read:  http://parenting.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/11/12/first-a-tourniquet-then-preschool-pick-up/

I wasn’t surprised by it.  Because I am a working mom and my first thought when anything out of the ordinary happens is about my little one’s schedule.  (Fortunately my “out of the ordinary” is much more, well, ordinary.)

What do you all think?

Flexible Fact

Among working mothers with minor children (ages 17 and under), just one-in-five (21%) say full-time work is the ideal situation for them, down from the 32% who said this back in 1997, according to a new Pew Research Center survey.
