It seems to me that many are striving for extra flexibility but are also a bit nervous to ask for it in this economic environment. It has become so easy for many people to work from home or on a flex schedule. Now, if only the hotel guests could swing by my house and pick up their room keys on the way from the ferry, make their own coffee, clean their own rooms and answer all their own questions, I'd be all set - until then, I get my marketing and admin stuff done from home in the quiet, then I can hit the ground running when I get to work and focus on the guests - not the paperwork!!

Leanne, it's the issue of our time, to be sure, but employers are the slowest to adopt, as always. You see it, we see it, but somehow employers can't see the bottom line benefits—as yet.

Keep up the good work and you'll turn the thinking around.

Today's answer on Twitter:

@ashleyacker said: Yes-it's piping hot!

Which I found funny as coffee is the give away for answering and she didn't realize that when she answered.

And I must give props to Bill Vick who pointed out the error of my ways:

@BillVick said: @leanneclc win a latte -sure, but Coffee is so yesterday Leanne

I assure you all it is a gift card to a local cafe, Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts...spend it as you'd like...
